Welcome! My name is Debbie Shailer, I am an experienced Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor offering support to people from all walks of life covering a variety of problems. I am also an Accredited Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy).
I work predominantly online seeing clients from all over the country. You can be assured of confidentiality working together in a safe and comfortable way. I offer short and long term counselling to young people (over the age of 16), adults and couples. I have vast experience of working with visually impaired people, victims of rape and sexual abuse and people suffering with anxiety and/or depression.
Telephone Counselling is also available.
I work part-time with an NHS IAPT Service as a Therapist and Duty Counsellor and am qualified in Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (CfD). I also work for an Employee Assistance Programme offering Reflective Supervision to Clients.
Counselling is about being listened to and being heard. I work predominantly in a person centred way which means I listen to understand the problems that are causing you emotional difficulty and assist you in finding the answers that you need to move forward. I also offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Trauma Counselling.
If you need support in any area, in particular Anxiety, Depression, Trauma etc., feel free to contact me for an initial confidential discussion.
